Special Council (Budget)

THAT the agenda be confirmed.

THAT Communications C1. to C2. inclusive be received and referred to their respective items on the agenda.

THAT Item 1, Committee of the Whole Report No. 9, be adopted and amended, as follows: By approving the following: 1. That the Mayor’s proposed 2026 budget be adopted; 2. That the report of the Mayor, dated February 4, 2026, be approved; 3. That the recommendations of the Special Committee of the Whole (Budget) meeting of February 4, 2026, be approved; 4. That further to section 7(4) of O.Reg 530/22 made under the Municipal Act, 2001, Council shortens the 30-day period for budget amendments to the date of this meeting; and 5. That the presentation by the Deputy City Manager, Corporate Services, City Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, and Communication C1., presentation material, titled “Proposed 2026 Budget and 2027-2030 Capital Financial Plan”, dated February 24, 2026, be received; and By receiving Communication C2., from Daniel Steinfeld, Toronto Regional Real Estate Board, Don Mills Road, Toronto, dated February 23, 2026. THAT the following by-laws be passed: BY-LAW NUMBER 051-2026 (Item 1, Special Committee of the Whole (Budget), Report No. 9) A By-law to provide for Fees and Charges for the calendar years 2026 and 2027, and to repeal By-law 251-2024, as amended.

THAT By-law Number 052-2026, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting on February 24, 2026, be passed.

THAT the meeting adjourn at 7:34 p.m.
